Leather, an ancestral material and true know-how
Leather, which plays a central role in calf processing, is a product that truly epitomises French craftsmanship. Recognised and prized for its fine grain, exceptional suppleness and density, calfskin is particularly sought after in demanding sectors: luxury leather goods (handbags, wallets, suitcases), high-end shoes and belts, or equestrian saddlery.
Its transformation relies on a controlled and rigorous technical process. The raw hide, a perishable material from abattoirs, is processed by tanneries where it is successively cleaned, tanned, mechanically worked and then dyed, before being sent to the factories for the manufacture of goods. Excellent craftsmanship, rooted in the regions of France.
