CIRVEAU gathers all of the sector’s stakeholders around a common objective: to support changes in breeding practices and address current challenges in a context of strong societal expectations. Equipped with modern facilities, its missions are to develop innovative breeding practices in terms of housing, feed, animal health and welfare, to test solutions and measure their impacts, in particular on the actions in terms of breeding, to produce and disseminate technical and economic guidelines, to study the quality of products (meat, offal, leather) and to pass on this knowledge to students at hospitality and agricultural colleges)
